course of radiation treatments. Leading your radiation team is a radiation oncologist, a doctor who specializes in treating
cancer with radiation. Radiation OncologistsYou will meet your radiation oncologist
at your first visit, and he will continue to see you throughout the course of treatment to monitor and take care of any side
effects. In addition to working with all the members of the radiation therapy team, your radiation oncologist works very closely
with your other doctors. Radiation TherapistsRadiation therapists
are the trained professionals who actually administer your daily radiation treatment. They do so under the doctor’s
prescription and supervision, maintaining daily records and regularly checking the treatment equipment to make sure it is
working properly. Medical Physicists and DosimetristsMedical physicists and
dosimetrists are responsible for developing radiation plans according to what your doctor prescribes. Using computers, they
develop percision treatment plans that can best destroy the tumor while sparing surrounding healthy tissue. Our
